Brenda A. Halladay

She was born May 31, 1950 in Orillia, Ontario Canada, the daughter of the late Elmer and Elsie (Forrester) Shelswell.

Brenda was an avid gardener and also enjoyed remodeling homes. She loved camping, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, husband, daughter, son-in-law, and her beloved dog Baxter.

Survivors include her husband, Robert “Skip” Halladay; her daughter, Michele (Dan Jr.) Spague; two granddaughters, Michaela and Kylee Sprague; two stepsons, David (Robin) Halladay and Dale Halladay; five step-grandchildren, Lauren, Jessica, and Kalee Halladay, Adam (Krista) Jones, and Chase Jones; one sister, Barbara (Gary) Jones; one brother, Brian (Sandy) Sheswell; three brothers-in-law, Bruce (Sue) Haight, Gordy (Diane) Haight, and Dave (Mary) Haight; stepson-in-law, Rusty Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Lee; stepdaughter, Lanette Jones; and her brother, Dale Shelswell.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Pastor Mike Pollock will officiate. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Sheridan Fire Department.
