Raymond O. Prince

Raymond O. Prince, 91, of Fredonia died Tuesday afternoon (Oct. 8, 2019) at the Absolut Care of Westfield.He was born March 8, 1928 in Westfield, the son of the late Orlo J. and Nina (Raynor) Prince. A lifelong area resident, Mr. Prince had been employed as a steel worker for Al Tech

Specialty Steel Corp. in Dunkirk. He was a member of the First Ward Falcon Club and First Baptist Church of Fredonia.Ray is now reunited with his beloved wife which he has deeply missed. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, and dedicated worker for Al Tech. He will be missed but not forgotten. He was passionate for animals and enjoyed nature. He loved a good western movie and country music. Ray had a deep faith in God and attended Fredonia Baptist Church for most of his

life. He could be seen with his wife planting the annual Geraniums in the front of the church.Survivors include two sons, John (Lucille) Prince of Fredonia and James (Joan) Prince of Lakewales, Fla.; one sister, Barbara (Bill) Gorka of Fredonia; one brother, Ronald (Edna) Prince of Forestville; five grandchildren, Kathleen (Larry) Wilke of Connecti-cut, Lisa (Ron) Brewster of Forestville, Renee Prince of Florida, Jennifer (Rob) Carrick of Pennsylvania, and Sola Prince of New York; 25 great- grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Bray) Prince who died Feb. 17, 2014; two grandsons, John W. Prince Jr. and Scott M. Prince; three brothers Robert, Richard, and Roger Prince; and four sisters, Kathleen Locke, Aleen Skrypek,, Arlene “Eddy” Poole, and Janet Lehnen.Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the McGraw- Kowal Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Carlson will officiate. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral Home. Burial will be in Webster Road Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
