Anna Manzella

Anna Manzella, 93, of Dunkirk, died peacefully Sunday, February 23, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 4, 1926, in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late John and Maryann (Kubicki) Buczek.

A retired employee of the Kosciuszko Polish Home and at one time, the former Van Raalte Corporation.

Anna enjoyed reading, baking, her garden and most of all, time spent with her family.

Memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig and the Kosciuszko Polish Home.

Surviving are her daughters Marianne (Bill) Furlan of Fredonia, Melinda (Agostino) Rotondo of Swampscott, MA, grandchildren Jennifer Manzella of Girard, PA, Michael (Megan) Manzella of Bloomington, IN, Kevin (Noelle) Manzella of West Seneca and great grand-daughter Penelope Manzella. In addition, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband Sebastian “Bud” Manzella who died June 17, 2012, son David Manzella who died August 9, 2015, and brothers Leo, Stanley and Daniel.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Wednesday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc, 56 E Doughty Street Dunkirk.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 a.m. in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Inurnment will be private in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
