Edward H. Boedo, 68, of Irving, N.Y., passed away on Friday morning at his residence.

Ed was born in Lackawanna, NY, the son of the late Harold and Mary (Barraclough) Boedo.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years Joyce (Hilliker) Boedo; a daughter, Kathleen (Richard) White of Silver Creek; a son, Brian (Cassandra) Boedo of Silver Creek; two brothers, Gordon (Cindy) Boedo of Eden, NY and Russell Boedo of Angola, NY; eight grandchildren, Lauryn Griewisch, Alexa and Andrew White, Madison and Yanna Mott, Kiele, Charley Ann, and Michaela Boedo; brother-in-law Scott(Jen) Dalrymple.

In addition to his parents Ed was preceded in death by his son Michael Boedo and his canine friend Sam.

Ed attended Eden High School. He worked as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator for Kadon Enterprises, Blakely Blacktop, and George Ortolano Inc.. He also was the former owner JB Auto service.

Ed was a member of the First Baptist Church of Silver Creek, the Sunset Drifters, Gowanda Moose, and the Southern Tier Auto Buff Club.

Ed helped out for many years at Smith’s Mill Cemetery, enjoyed fishing and boating cherished his “1962” Chevy Super Sport., He could be found daily having coffee, solving the world’s problems at Aunt Millie’s. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, smoking turkeys and camping at the pavilion. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and associates.

At the request of the deceased, private viewing and funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, Silver Creek. A Celebration of Ed’s Life will be held at a date and time to be announced.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Ed’s memory to the Michael Boedo Scholarship Fund, 11979 Angel Rd. Silver Creek,NY 14136. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek,NY.
