Frank William Guarnati

Frank William Guarnati, 87, passed away peacefully at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tenn.

He was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., and was a graduate of Dunkirk High School at-tending Fredonia State University for one year prior being drafted into the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War. After being honorably discharged with good conduct, he at-tended Youngstown State University where he was a member of the basketball team. After graduating he returned to Dunkirk, where he was a small business owner until his retirement.

Frank was an avid golfer and was an active member of Shorewood Country Club until his death.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Guarnati and Emma Brochetti-Guarnati; and brother-in-law, Norman Haderer.

He is survived by his sister, Lucy Haderer; nieces: Susan Walls and Mary Massengill (Ray); nephews: Charles Haderer (Sarah) and Joe Haderer (Cindy); and also several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020 at 11 a.m., in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery, Sheridan, New York with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.

Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 A.M.

Serving as pallbearers will be Chuck Haderer, Ray Massengill, Paul Testa, John Swoyer, Dean Ringler, Ronald (Bo) Pas-safaro, Jeremy McAfee, and Ronald (Mooney) Rhys. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Haderer, Jack Shubert, Carl Saglimben, Richard Pincoski and Jef-frey Passafaro.

The family asks that all are attending please wear a mask and adhere to all social distancing policies in guidance with local ordinance.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or a local charity of your choice.
