Jeff George
Jeff George, 62, of Fredonia, NY, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in Buffalo, NY, after a brief battle with COVID-19. He was born on Feb. 20, 1958, to Fredrick and Sandra George of Silver Creek, NY.
His life revolved around his family. He was always there with a helping hand for anyone who needed it. He was quite a handy man. here wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. Jeff retired in June 2020 from Gowanda Remtronics in Dunkirk, NY, and had previously worked at King Machine, M&T Bank, and Forbes and Wagner. He also did book keeping for his wife’s hair salon, Karen’s Hairem.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife of nearly 38 years, Karen (Saunders) George, and his two daughters, Jessica (Nate) Miller and Kelsey (Nick) George. He also cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter, Ava Miller. He is further survived by his brother, Kevin (Kathy) George and his in-laws, Gorman and Janet Saunders.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Derek George.
Jeff had a life long battle with kidney disease, including 2 transplants (one from his father in 1978 and one from a donor on Christmas Day, 1998).
Jeff had a love for music and dance and his favorite band, KISS. He was always the lead in the conga line.
Due to the COVID-19 risk, Jeff’s funeral service will be private, with a memorial celebration to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations, in Jeff’s memory, be made to the American Kidney Fund.
