James “Jim” Hatala

James “Jim” Hatala, 56, of Dunkirk, N.Y., passed away suddenly at UPMC WCA Hospital on Sunday May 2, 2021. He was born in Johnson City, N.Y., on Aug. 16, 1964. He was the son of Robert Hatala and Paula Hatala. He was an avid golfer and fisherman. You would never see him without a club in his hand and a smile on his face. He was known by all of his friends for his witty personality. He was also a die hard Yankees and Bruins fan. He was also very involved with the community and helped with fundraisers at any chance he could get. He will be sadly missed by his three fur babies that he adored, Natasha, Max, and Cinder.

He is survived by his parents Robert Hatala (Brenda) and Paula Hatala; his two loving daughters: Marina Hatala and Sophia Hatala; his three beautiful grandchildren: Raeden Pardo, Arabella Hatala, and Layla Hatala; and his brothers: Joseph and Jonathan Hatala. Also survived by his soulmate of 20 years, Jamie Mcquiggan and her children: John Mcquiggan (Jessica) and their children Anthony and Molly and Alainna Leckliter and her three children: Zachary, Haleigh and Gavin. As well as a nephew, aunts, and uncles. And many many friends that loved him dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
