Blanca I. “Moggie” Nieves

She was born Sept. 4, 1971. in Bethlehem, Pa., the daughter of the late Raul and Luz Maria (Vega) Nieves.

A resident of Dunkirk for most of her life, Moggie attended Dunkirk schools. She had been employed at Country Fair in Dunkirk.

She loved being with family and friends. Moggie had such a large personality and always made you laugh. Her presence was very much felt anywhere she was.

Moggie was loved by many and will be sadly missed and remembered fondly by all those whose lives she has touched.

Survivors include her three daughters: Britnee Nieves, Ciara Camacho and Desirae Camacho; four siblings: Ana (Nieves) Formey, Rosa Nieves, Carmen Nieves and Raul Nieves Jr.; six grandchildren: Ay’Ciana, Damario, Da’Mya, Camryn, Londyn, and Cianalise. Blanca is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

”Blanca was the light of her entry. When she entered everybody noticed her.”

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m., in the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. Pastor Erika Lopez will officiate. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
