Larry S. Marsh Sr.

Larry S. Marsh Sr., 86, of Bruyer Road, Stockton, passed away, Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, at Heritage Village Rehab and S.N.

Born Jan. 28, 1935, in Stockton, a son of the late Carl and Wilma Osgood Marsh.

He had attended Cassadaga Valley Central School.

Larry was a veteran of the Korean conflict serving in the U.S. Navy from 1952-56.

He was employed as a foreman and machinist at Proto Tool/Ingersoll Rand and retired in 1997 from Blackstone/Valeo as a supervisor. Larry was then hired by the former Lake County Dairy, as a maintenance man for all 10 store locations for over 10 years.

During retirement, Larry converted his two story home into a one story home while never having to move out. He’s also been involved in various construction projects with his family’s homes and was even given a vest and construction hard hat while at Heritage Village to help with their construction project.

He was a past member of the Cassadaga Memorial American Legion Post 1280 and War Vets Re-creation. He enjoyed wood-working and staying busy doing yard work and maintaining his home. Always a family man, he enjoyed be-ing at his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and adored his “grand-dogs”. He loved be-ing with family!

Husband of 56 years to the late Marlene M. Lehnen Marsh, whom he married June 26, 1954, and who died Sept. 18, 2010; father of Lori Lynn Marsh of Gerry, Kent (Kim) Marsh and Kay Marie (Stephen) Singer, all of Sinclairville, Debra Sue (Steven) Snyder of Orange Park, Fla.; and the late Larry S., Jr. (1974) and infant daughter, Darla Jo Marsh (1971); grandfather of Randy and Bryan Carlson, Chelsey (Brent) Marsh Heintzelman, Courtney (Ron) Marsh Roderick, Michael and Lucas Snyder; great-grandfather of Bryce and Aubrey Heintzelman, Addison and Kathryn Roderick; step-great- grandfather of Grace and Brock Roderick; brother of Dottie Muzzy of Greenhurst and the late Bessie Kelly, Claire, Ho-ward, John, Kenneth, Paul, Gordon, Carl Jr., and Roger Marsh. Also survived by his half-sisters: Julia Burke, Bernice Ducat and Hazel Mobley; sisters-in-law: Ethel and Gerry Marsh and Joan Ulrich; and his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville. Funeral service will be st 11 a.m. Friday. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton.
