Elizabeth ‘‘Betty’’ M. Domst

Elizabeth ”Betty” M. Domst passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, in her home in Depew, N.Y.

She was born July 16, 1937, to Francis and Bernice (Marcinkiewicz) Domst in Dunkirk, N.Y.

She attended Dunkirk High School and graduated as an registered nurse from Sisters of Charity Hospital School of Nursing. She worked in Buffalo area hospitals, Attica Correctional Facility and then retired from Wende Correctional Facility.

She is survived by her sister, Frances (John) Sullivan of Fredonia, N.Y.; nieces: Alexandria Sullivan, Fredericksburg, Va., and Karen (Richard) DeSantis, East Aurora, N.Y.; nephew, Robert (Candace) Sullivan of Easton, Pa. She is also survived by greatnieces: Megan Sullivan, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., and Grace DeSantis of Buffalo, N.Y.;- and great nephews: Brian Sullivan of Highland, N.Y., and Michael DeSantis of Hamburg, N.Y.

Betty donated her body to the University of Buffalo for research. Per Betty’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.

She was an avid animal rescue supporter and had many rescue dogs and cats throughout her life. In memory of Betty, donations can be made to any animal rescue of your choice.
