Carol M. Aitken

She was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Fiori and Mary (Vendetti) Conti Sr.

Carol was a instructor at the ABC Immigrant School in Fredonia.

Surviving are children: Natalie Allen, Niki Alling, Harry Aitken and William (Jessica) Aitken; brother, Fiore (Cindy) Conti Jr.; grandchildren: Laura Allen, Austin Allen, Frederick Kalfas III, Bless (Shamar) Brown, Ethan Aitken and Raymond Aitken; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces nephews and cousins. Also extended family members: Victoria Smith, Pam Sam and Raymond Naperkowski.

Preceded in addition to her parents; husband, Gary D. Aitken; grandson, Harley D. Smith; and father and mother-in-law, Harry Aitken and Geraldine Aitken.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Saturday from 2-4 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty St., where Christian services will be held at 3 p.m. and a celebration of life to follow starting at 5 p.m. at the Beaver Club in Fredonia.

Private interment will be in Willowbrook Park Cemetery at a later date.
