Corrine M. Crino

Corrine M. Crino, 89, of Dunkirk, N.Y. passed away Aug. 3, 2022, after a brief illness at her daughter’s house surrounded by her loving family to join her Lord and loving husband, Carm, who predeceased her six years ago, Aug. 4, 2016. She was born July 2, 1933, in Dunkirk, N.Y., to the late Joseph and Jennie (Valvo) Solazzo.

During her career, Corrine started working early on at The Fredonia Pizza Factory and followed with working for the Dunkirk School System where she started as a lunch monitor, enjoying many numerous children she had the pleasure of serving and then later becoming the most famous baker. She was known for all of her goodies, especially her 10-inch chocolate chip cookie that she specially made for everyone’s Birthday.

Corrine was a devoted and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who cherished everyone. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church.

Her many joys in life included going to coffee with her dearest friends, playing at the Casino, shopping after coffee, but most of all, spoiling and enjoying time with her family.

Survivors include her devoted and loving daughter, Connie and one and only son in law, Jeff Galardo of Dunkirk, N.Y.; her precious grandchildren who she lived for: Jeff Galardo Jr (Mariea) of Sumter, S.C.; Felicia (Robert) Nichols of Fredonia, N.Y.; and Nicole Galardo of Depew, N.Y. She is also survived by her three great-grandchildren, whom she adored: Ethan, Wulfric and Salvatore (Sammy) of Sumter, S.C.; as well as many beloved family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Besides her parents and husband, Corrine is predeceased in death by her brothers and sisters; Peter (Mae) Solazzo, Russell (Lucille) Solazzo, Grace (Edward) Sobilo, Lucille Solazzo and Michael Solazzo.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Hospice for all they did for Corrine in her remaining days, especially Kate and Karen.
