Michael Angelo Rios
Michael Angelo Rios, 53, of Dunkirk, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 4, 2022. Born on June 17, 1969, in Dunkirk, to Maria Adorno and Sixto Rios, Michael was a resident of the area most of his life. He attended Dunkirk High School and took pride in his work for Dan’s Moving and Storage for over 20 years. Michael was an adoring father to his children Michael Angelo Rios, II (Sandy) of Jamestown, Christopher J. Rios of Jamestown, Taysha Delgado (Jonathan), Juan “Macho” Delgado, Jr. and Alyssa Brignoni, all of Dunkirk. Michael loved being a grandfather to his five grandchildren, Liana Jimenez, Jason Morales, Aleah Delgado, Elena Fred, and Zayden Benejan. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Rios of South Dayton, loving mother Maria Adorno and stepfather Benito, of Dunkirk, his sisters Anna Finklea (George) of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary Alice Petrella (Jeff) of Dunkirk, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Wilfredo Borges and the Late Juan Delanoy were also special father figures that impacted Michael’s life. He was predeceased by his brother Jamie Rios and grandson Zayne Alexander. Michael was a social butterfly and loved by many in the community. He made many friends throughout his life and maintained life-long friendships with so many, all who love him dearly.
Being an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan, he always enjoyed game days with family and friends and loved family gatherings. His smile, laughter and loving heart will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 5 pm at Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service and may call at the funeral home from 2 pm – 5 pm. Interment will be held privately and arrangements under the direction of Michael R. Fantauzzi at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home of Fredonia.
