William Patrick Castleberry

William P. (Bill) Castleberry, 67, Passed into the arms of the Lord after a brief illness on Dec. 11, 2022 at his home in Middleburg FL, with his loving and devoted wife Bonnie (Herr) Castleberry at his side. Born in Dunkirk, NY Bill grew up in Fredonia and was the son of the late William G. and Clara R. (Burchett) Castleberry. Bill is survived by 7 children, Lisa Pint (CJ) Sanderson, Diane (Brian) Shrout, James (Bonnie) States, Richard (Brandi) States, Kristin (Colby) Hietbrink, Rachel Castleberry and Rebecca (Michael) Makowski, 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Bill is also survived by his sisters Karen (Daniel) Geibel of Republic, WA and Sally (Patrick) O’Malley of Dunkirk, NY; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Bill was especially loved by sister and brothers-in-law Ellen (James) Harrity, the late Vincent (Rosario) Herr who passed Nov., 25, 2022, Guy (Joanne) Herr, and Nelson (Beverly) Herr.

Bill loved life, his Children and Grandchildren. He loved fishing, woodworking, travel and making people laugh. He retired as General Manager of Endeka Ceramics, Jacksonville, Fl.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son Benjamin William Castleberry and his sister Susan Grace Garner.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held Dec. 30, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Haven Hospice Care Center, 745 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. 32065. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Haven Hospice Care Center.
