Robert J. (Bobby) Mangus Sr.

He was born on July 10, 1955, in Dunkirk, NY, to the late Frank and Agnes (Lach) Mangus Seybold.

In his early years, after being educated in the Fredonia Central School System, his working career included being employed at Dunkirk, Ice Cream, Pate and Associates, and with Fun City.

In his recent years, Robert operated and took pride in his fruit and vegetable stand, located at the four corners of Stockton, NY. He loved farming, fishing, and hunting and had a passion for all animals.

Bobby is survived by his seven children: Ashley Mangus of Stockton, NY, Nikki (Jude) Gardner of Fredonia, NY, Patrina (Mike) Bellardo of Gerry, NY, Trisha (Tom) Fleissner of Silver Creek, NY, Carla Mangus of Fredonia, NY, Malisa Manguso of ID, Irene (Cory) Near of Forestville, NY; twenty grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Frank Mangus of Fredonia, NY and cousins: Carol Solomon of Boca Raton, FL, Guy Patsy of Boca Raton, FL, Paul Patsy of Erie, PA, Roiann Bruno of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Ron Lach of Dunkirk, NY.

Robert was preceded in death by his son, Bobby J. Mangus, Jr., Agnes (Lach) Mangus Seybold, Frank Mangus, his grandparents, Anthony and Catherine Lach, and his two brothers, George and Roy.

Robert’s 11 AM Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2023 at the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, NY. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, 2023 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Sheridan, NY.
