Sharon K. Monnin

Born January 21, 1944 in North Hornell, NY the daughter of Alvin P. And Inez ( Bricknell) Harper.

Sharon married Clarence A. Mornin Jr. at St. Joseph’s RC Church, Gowanda October 24, 1964. Clarence and Sharon were married 58 years before his passing November 27, 2022.

Sharon retired from the Gowanda Central School District after 30 plus years of employment .

Survivors include children; Yvette ( David Covert) Keefe of Hamburg, Lynette (Kenneth) Slocum of Gowanda, Pamela (Samuel) Castellano of South Dayton and Kevin Monnin of Gowanda. Sharon is also survived by grandchildren ; Emily, Evan, Jordan, Ashley, Megan, Michael, Brittany, Dustin , Joseph, Kevin Jr. , Hayley and Zachary . Great grandchildren; Zayne, Madisyn, Kane, Ally, Richard, Braylee, Austin, Bailee and Brooklyn.

Sharon , one of six children in the Harper clan was the last of her generation in the family to pass .

Besides her husband Clarence Sharon was preceded in death by her 5 siblings; Doris Saxton, Beverly Ann Harper, Joyce Lindsley, William Harper and Alvin G. Harper. Sharon was also preceded in death by a great-grandson Benjamin Castellano.

Arrangements are by the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda.

As per Sharons wishes , a private family burial will take place in the Jolls Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and the rest of her family .

If desired, memorials may be made to a local charity of ones choice.
