Jerry Swanson
Jerry Swanson, 81, long-time resident of Collins NY, passed away on October 10, 2023, in Kirkland WA. Jerry was a gentle man who cared deeply about his community and neighbors. He loved sports, animals and his family.
Jerry is survived by his wife Sharon, his son Eric, and two granddaughters, Cheyanne and Caitlin.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Swanson and his mother Lillian (nee Berns) Swanson.
Jerry served honorably in the United States AirForce from 1961 to 1965 after which he went on to a successful career, retiring from US Air in Buffalo. He went on to work as a driver and EMT for Gowanda Ambulance service and was a proud member of the Collins Fire Department for over 50 years.
A private memorial service is being held for family members. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Gowanda Ambulance Service or Collins Volunteer Fire Department.
Jerry will be remembered for his dedication to his community, his love for his family and his commitment to serving others. He led a good life.
