Nicholas J. Schrader, 30, of Harborcreek, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024.
He was born in Westfield, NY on June 20, 1993, a son of Joanne Agel and the late, James H. Schrader.
Nick graduated from Iroquois High School in 2012. He was passionate about ROTC and always wanted to go into the Air Force. Throughout his whole life he played baseball for MYAA and made many memories during those years. After high school, he was accepted into the Physical Therapy program at Gannon University, which was something he was very proud of. Since 2010, he was inseparable from the love of his life, Alyssa. Together they created a beautiful life together with their two sons, Samuel and Benjamin. Nick was a dedicated husband and father. He loved spending time with his sons and playing with them after work. Nick also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, having a beer while cooking up some of his amazing grilled or smoked meals. He really enjoyed sharing his food with others. Nick will be remembered by his smile, his awesome personality, and always denying his “ginger” hair. Nick was a good and faithful husband, father, son, and brother. He will be missed by all.
In addition to his father, Nick is preceded in death by his nephew, Jayden Agel, grandmothers, Evelyn Marzullo and Margaret Schrader, and fur buddy, Diesel.
He is survived by his wife, Alyssa M. Rodriguez, sons, Samuel J.W. and Benjamin Eli, his mother, Joanne Agel, brothers, Chad Agel of Stockton, NY, Adam Schrader of Union City, PA, and Jordan Schrader (Anna), nieces and nephews, Olivia, Jack, James, and Oliver Schrader, Morgan Lawson, and Ashley Frederick, his in-laws, William and Shana Rodriguez, and sister-in-law, Alexis Rodriguez. Many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends also survive.
Friends may call on Monday at the Kloecker-Bailey Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 4396 Iroquois Ave., Erie PA 16511 from 3 pm until the time of the service at 7 pm.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nick’s family through the funeral home. Any extra funds will be given directly to Nick’s wife and children to care for his family.
