Jeanne F. Stokes, 90, of Dunkirk, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, July 2, 2024. Born in Dunkirk on Nov. 18, 1933, daughter of the late Eugene and Eleanor (Meister) Foley.
Surviving Jeanne are her loving children Stuart Stokes, Sarah (Kent) Davis, Thomas, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Matthew (Mary), and Peter (Sabrina) Stokes. Grandchildren Christpher, Kegan, Matty, Keana, Rebecca, Nycole, Matthew, Samantha, Madison, Mason, and Morgan; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers John Foley and Dr. James Foley. Jeanne is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her husband Roy Stokes; parents Eugene and Eleanor (Meister) Foley; sons David and Philip Stokes and a brother, Robert Foley.
Friends and family are welcome to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church. Interment in private. Arrangements by McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
