Lynn Bryan
Lynn Bryan, 70, of Portland, NY passed away on January 11, 2025 under the care of Hospice and dear family and friends. Lynn was born on August 20, 1954 in Delhi, NY to Victor and Jane (Evarts)Bryan. He graduated from Fredonia High School in 1973 and from Alfred Tech with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in 1975.
Lynn was an accomplished finish carpenter working for a number of years in Colorado and returning to Fredonia, working throughout WNY. He loved being outdoors; hunting, fishing, cutting firewood and gardening. He enjoyed creating wooden butterflies and delicious lemon meringue pies, sharing the pies with very appreciative friends.
Lynn’s greatest satisfaction came from fulfilling his promise to his mother to be sober. He will be remembered for his gentleness and strong will. He faced his pancreatic cancer with a remarkably positive attitude and humor.
He is survived by and will be remembered fondly by his father, Victor, of Florida, sisters Connie Simoneau of Florida and Lucy Bryant of Brocton, his best friend Don Stahlman, and special friend Linda Blodgett. He is also survived by nieces Juli, Michelle, Anne, Jennifer, and Suzanne. Also five grandnieces and 4 grand nephews
A celebration of life will be in July.
