Patricia J. (Gens) Rose

Patricia J. (Gens) Rose, 77, of Dunkirk, passed away Tuesday evening, Oct. 7, 2025 at home with her loving husband by her side. Born in Gowanda, NY on March 1, 1948, she was the wife of John Rose and daughter of Lester and Agnes (O’Brien) Gens.

Patricia graduated from Dunkirk High School and went on to attend SUNY Fredonia. She worked for many years at the former Vineyard restaurant and she ultimately retired from the dietary department at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband, John W. Rose, loving children; Shelly Ask and John W. Rose, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Wigren; grandchildren: Jacob (Brianna) Ask, Nicholas Ask, and Madyson Ask, Drew Wigren, Gaby Wigren, and Marcus Lugo; and a great granddaughter Gracelyn Ask. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her son Douglas Wigren and her siblings Theodore Gens, Beatrice Tilley, Rosemary Graham and Helen Gloff.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY.
