JOAN I. BREDE Died Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk, N.Y. Born Oct. 13, 1938, the daughter of the late Edward J. “Skip” Jr., and Pauline A. (Heller) Brede of Fredonia, N.Y. Joan worked the Fredonia Central School System as an Athletic Teacher and at SUNY Fredonia in the Athletics Department. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Brede, and sister Karyl (Sam) McLean, both of Arizona. At the request of Joan, no memorial services will be held. Martha W. Bahl died July 11, 2025 in Bradford, P.A. after a long illness. She is survived by her husband, Oswald Wahl of Ripley, N.Y. James M. Sedota, 83, of Fredonia, NY, passed away at home on Tuesday July 15, 2025. Visitation will be held at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8 pm. Elizabeth A. (Nasca) Donovan

Elizabeth A. (Nasca) Donovan, 84, of Fredonia, passed away Sunday evening, July 13, 2025. Born in Dunkirk on Apr. 27, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Anthony L. Nasca, Sr. and Mary (Lodico) Nasca. Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY.
