Betty J. Vantino, 100, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Gowanda Nursing Home. She was born on November 10, 1925 in Salamanca, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Pinto) Sylvester. On July 25, 1964, she married Michael Vantino who predeceased her on August 25, 2011. Betty was a devoted Catholic as a member of St. Joseph’s RC Church in Gowanda and SS. Peter and Paul RC Church in Hamburg. For 20 years, she served as St. Joseph’s secretary and was active in their altar and rosary society.
