George Michael Borrello, 68, of Silver Creek, New York, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 4, 1958, in Silver Creek, George was the son of the late Dominic and Antoinette Borrello. A lifelong resident of Silver Creek and a proud graduate of Silver Creek High School, George went on to attend Arizona State University before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Communication and Marketing from SUNY Fredonia. Gloria A. Ortel-Sarver, 92, of South Dayton, died Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at Buffalo General Medical Center following a short illness. She was born in Dunkirk on July 14, 1934, the daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Steele) Strader. Gloria worked as an Aide at the former Singer Mental Health Center in Rockford, IL for 22 years. Previously, she worked for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center in Helmuth for 10 years.
