Band coverage appreciated

Editor, OBSERVER:

On behalf of the acoustic rock band Wooden Ship, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Dunkirk OBSERVER for the nice article and photograph which detailed the band’s history in last week’s paper.

In addition, we would like to thank City of Dunkirk officials, specifically councilman Marty Bamonto for his encouragement on the project, as well as Special Events Director Hector Rosas for insuring our musical presentation went off seamlessly.

Fix disgraceful decisions

Editor, OBSERVER:

It’s amazing to me how we continue to put up with disgraceful behavior by our government. Correct the situation now by arranging reunification of families by doing two things. Send all the children who have been separated from their parents to one location. Send all the parents who have been separated from their children to that same location.

Do this starting today, reuniting these families, then move on and do not repeat this assinine mistake ever again!
