Brocton school taxes keep rising

Editor, OBSERVER:

Here we go again. I am so tired of speaking up on taxes.

I know I have commented on the town of Pomfret supervisor and most of the trustees taking advantage of other town residents outside of the village of Fredonia.

I have recently received my Brocton Central School taxes of more than $5,500 per year. Their teachers are paid one of the highest salaries in the county. They graduate approximately 40 students per year. Why do they need two gyms and all the extras that they have is beyond me.

They say it does not cost anything extra, but who pays for the maintenance of the facilities? They should not even have their own school system.

Again, they should look into a merger with Westfield or Fredonia.

PETER PETT,
