Change more than just the location

Editor, OBSERVER:

I support the new hospital location at 3710-3724 E. Main St., Fredonia. My suggestion, however, would be to change the name from Brooks Memorial Hospital to Fredonia Regional Hospital to support the State University of New York at Fredonia.

This could lead to more internships at the new location.

I believe that the city of Dunkirk should become a tourism destination and use the old Brooks as either a senior living location or a potential hotel for tourists.

Volunteers boost Sheridan VFW

The Sheridan Memorial VFW Post 6390 would like to immensely thank our loyal patrons and volunteers who helped with our spring chicken barbecue fundraiser. We would also like to thank the OBSERVER for placing that very nice ad for us.

Special thanks to ticket sellers: Kathie, Nikki, Genny Rene, Ward, Fran, Dave, Grant Dianne, Ladies Auxiliary and me. Also to volunteers: Grant, Ward, Nick, John, Dave, me, Allison, Judy, Sue, Rene, Fran and Gary. Our dedicated volunteers are what makes our Post so strong.
