Professor’s column was ‘nonsense’

Editor, OBSERVER:

I’ve seen Stephen Kershnar’s photo appear on the Editorial page of the OBSERVER in the past. However, until Nov. 18, I’ve never read one of his “commentaries.” I’m being told that this promotion of conspiracy theories surrounding election fraud is typical of pieces he has published before.

If that is the case, then I want to know why the SUNY Board of Trustees has not already fired him? We can not have a professor, responsible for educating others, be allowed to promote complete fabrications of the truth. I’ve seen numerous articles on educators losing their positions because they spouted beliefs that are patently false.

I hope that when the SUNY Trustees read Kershnar’s nonsense they remove him immediately.

GEORGE PETRELLA,

Brocton
