Trump kept democracy secure

Editor, OBSERVER:

In response to the Aug. 14 commentary “Citizens made decision on Trump.”

Let me make one thing perfectly clear. I like my MAGA hat. I like what it stands for. I like speaking freely. I like being able to protect my family if need be. I like worshiping as I please. I like and respect our Constitution and the rule of law.

It is very apparent that our present administration is afraid of my likes. They seem to want to tell me what to do, what to say, what not to say, how to live my life.

If anyone wants to control and rule over me it is the so-called leaders that are in charge, not Donald Trump. They will use any means possible to achieve their goal, including derailing Trump’s run to be re-elected president (while Joe Biden “keeps his distance” as not to be blamed for actions toward Trump).

My suggestion to the writer would be for her to take off your blinders, open your eyes and really see what is happening to this country. The American people can see it and feel it and it is pure insanity.

This writer should also be asking herself why she would want our democracy to slip away?
