An OBSERVER photo shows Councilman Earl Walldorff of the Town of Dunkirk presenting a $10 award to Miss Betsy Roman. She submitted the winning slogan of “Divided We Stand” to the town board after Councilman Walldorff personally offered the cash award. Town Justice Rollin Fancher said that the slogan is both appropriate and unique because the town is divided by the city of Dunkirk. Three signs bearing the slogan have been erected on the town lines.
