Retrospective

Thirty years ago — 1990

Todd Tanner, a senior at Forestville Central School, has been chosen Student of the Week. He is the son of Mr. Terry Tanner and Mrs. Patricia Tanner of Forestville. He has been treasurer of his class for the past four years and yearbook editor. Todd is also a member of the National Honor Society. He plans to attend the Boyd School during the summer to study travel and tourism.

Forty years ago — 1980

Henry’s Saloon, a 1900’s atmosphere saloon, returns and is open for business at 39 East Main St. in Fredonia. Owner Henry Draggett said his was the first saloon as such to emerge since Prohibition times and he considers his bar to be an oldtime saloon-type watering hole.

Fifty years ago — 1970

Miss Jane Adams of Forestville has been selected by the Experiment in International Living to live abroad with a family in Bolivia this summer. A junior at Forestville Central School, Jane is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Towne Adams.
