Thirty years ago — 1990

Dunkirk High School senior class officers recently dedicated two rosebushes in honor of Alan Stuhlmiller, retired DHS athletic director. The dedication took place in the high school courtyard. The class gift of a plaque and picture was also presented to John J. Mancuso, retired high school principal. The school yearbook was dedicated in honor of Mr. Mancuso.

Forty years ago — 1980

Lake Ford Lincoln Mercury Inc. is making plans to construct a new building for the dealership on Vineyard Drive in the east Town of Dunkirk. The company now is located on Route 20 at McAllister Road and just east of Route 60.

Fifty years ago — 1970

An official ground breaking ceremony was held the evening of June 17 at the site of the new Cassadaga Community Building/fire hall.
