Thirty years ago — 1990

A “Do You Remember?” photo shows the Kosciuszko Club team which won the Fumble League Championship in Dunkirk back in 1962. Celebrating are William Trudnowski, manager; Vic Cieslewicz, Henry Stolinski, Norm Szalkowski Jr., Jim Diederich, Al Ciepiela, Lefty Rzepkowski, Bob Katta, Ed Kapuscinski, Tup Wlodarek, Norm Szalkowski, Ray Abramowicz, Coach Al Krzakala, Club President John Drag and John Banach.

Forty years ago — 1980

During noon services at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, several youth groups presented a gold tray and six chalices to their parish. The tray, presented by Paul Wencek, was donated in the name of the Folk Choir and altar boys. The six chalices were purchased and presented by the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton school children; 1980 eighth-grade graduating class; the Girl Scouts (Brownie Troop 38, Junior Troop 66 and Cadette Troop 30); Cub Scout Pack 254; Boy Scout Troop 254 and the CYO.

Fifty years ago — 1970

The Women’s Auxiliary of Brooks Hospital has donated five new “electronic” thermometers to the medical facility. It’s likely that the “old” glass thermometers are on their way out.
