Thirty years ago — 1991

Two Forestville Central School students, Paula Pinchon and Patrick Binzel along with chaperone Barbara Schulenberg, were present in the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., earlier this month when the historic resolution was passed to back the president on military action in the Persian Gulf. Trees in front of the school are also decorated with yellow ribbons. The district officials know of 12 Forestville School alumni who are stationed in the Gulf.

Forty years ago — 1981

Eight-year-old Michael Szekely of Fredonia won a birthday party at Aunt Janet’s Restaurant donated by Aunt Janet’s for the Brooks Hospital Bazaar held recently. Ross DiBiase is manager of the restaurant.

Fifty years ago — 1971

Jeri Angelino, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Angelino, Buffalo Road, Irving is the Student of the Week. She is a senior at Silver Creek Central School.
