Thirty years ago — 1991

John P. Gullo II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Gullo of Fredonia, has become associated with the Buffalo law firm of Damon & Morey, where he will concentrate his practice in civil and commercial litigation, medical malpractice and environmental law. A 1983 Fredonia High School graduate, Mr. Gullo earned a BA in history and political science from Canisius College in 1987 and his juris doctor in 1990 from the Boston University School of Law. He resides in Buffalo.

Forty years ago — 1981

An article on architecture in the November 1980 issue of “Travel and Leisure” made mention of the village of Fredonia. Referring to “a portico with columns” as part of the Greek revival, the article notes this interesting feature can be found on many dwellings in the western end of New York, in towns like Panama, Fredonia and Jamestown.

Fifty years ago — 1971

Robert H. Kolodziej, president of the Fredonia Central School District Board of Education, has announced the appointment of Richard B. Glenzer as principal of the new Middle School, effective July 1.
