Thirty years ago — 1991

Steven Goold, administrator of the Chautauqua County Home, recently welcomed residents, staff members and auxiliary members to the 30th anniversary rededication of the home. The rededication by County Executive Andrew Goodell included a summary of the 160 years since the original County Home was established in Dewittville. He also spoke of the thousands who have benefited from the home.

Forty years ago — 1981

The Henri Gallery in Washington, D.C., is currently exhibiting a solo show of sculpture by Fredonia State University College professor of art Robert Booth. It is one of the oldest and most respected of the contemporary galleries in Washington. Mr. Booth has been on the art faculty at Fredonia State since 1978.

Fifty years ago — 1971

Miss Mary Kolodziej was recently crowned the 1972 Fredonia Junior Miss. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kolodziej, 78 Risley St., Fredonia.
