Thirty years ago — 1992

Mrs. Harry (Ruth) Rosselot, a recently deceased longtime member of the Fredonia Garden Club, was remembered by fellow club members at a recent meeting.Members recalled Mrs. Rosselot’s love of entertaining and her dedication to conservation practice. It was agreed that a donation in her name will be made to the Fredonia Baptist Church Stained Glass Window Fund.

Forty years ago — 1982

Frederick T. Weimer, a native of Dunkirk, has been named a member of the Consumer Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Board. Mr. Weimer was one of nine selected from a field of 499 nominees and will serve a three-year term. He is a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Dunkirk and attended SUNY Fredonia.

Fifty years ago — 1972

The Genesee Brewing Co. Inc. of Rochester has announced the appointment of William J. Harford of Silver Creek to the post of regional sales manager for the Niagara Frontier and Western New York State.
