Douglas J. Fenton, director of community relations and marketing at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, has been selected to have his name appear in the 1992 edition of “Who’s Who in Public Relations.”
Forty years ago — 1982
Tom Kaleta of 26 North Ermine St., Dunkirk was first to report a successful opening day turkey kill. He bagged a 15-pounder in Cherry Creek at 6:25 a.m. It was his first success in four years of trying. Sixteen-year-old Kevin Malkowski of 61 West Doughty St., Dunkirk bagged a 13-pound turkey in Arkwright at 8 a.m. the same day. It was his first attempt at the sport.
Fifty years ago — 1972
The Adams Memorial Unitarian Church will be without a resident minister when the Rev. J. Robert Bath, minister for the past six years, leaves Dunkirk in May. He has accepted the ministry of the Universalist Church in Oakland, Maine.
