Thirty years ago — 1992
Karl Rominger, son of Ms. Signe E. Rominger of Pullman Street, Brocton had work selected for publication in the “Allegheny Literary Review,” a literary magazine published by Allegheny College. His poem, “Fluid Movements,” was one of only 18 entries selected for the 1992 edition. Mr. Rominger, a 1991 graduate of Brocton Central School, will begin his sophomore year this fall.
Forty years ago – 1982
Kevin A. Ricotta, a Dunkirk native, received his juris doctor degree from the University of Notre Dame School of Law in May. In 1979, he received a bachelor of arts degree magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame. Kevin is the son of State Supreme Court Justice and Mrs. Joseph J. Ricotta of Dunkirk. He will be practicing law in Buffalo.
Fifty years ago — 1972
An open house was held today at the newly constructed Friendship Baptist Church on East Second Street in Dunkirk. The Rev. E.B. Barnes is the pastor.
