Thirty years ago — 1992

Sidey’s at the D&F Plaza recently celebrated the season opening of their Buffalo Bills Pro Shop. They hosted celebrities including two Buffalo Jills and sports announcer Van Miller. Balloons were given to fans and many prizes were won, including two Buffalo Bills game tickets to Tim Gibbons of Dunkirk.

Forty years ago — 1982

Pearce Auto Supply recently held a drawing co-sponsored by Pennzoil Corp. for the mini Pennzoil race car. Out of more than 6,000 registered entries, the blank filled in by the Jagodas was the lucky one. Their entry was drawn and the prize was awarded by Jim Pearce and Mike Wathan of Pennzoil.

Fifty years ago — 1972
