Back from Rome is Lillian Halasinski, the Dunkirk resident whose medical healing was deemed a miracle by the Vatican. This resulted in the beatification of a Polish nun, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska. She received a blessing and a pearlized rosary from Pope John Paul II. She also was gifted with a medallion commemorating the event and a relic of Blessed Mary Angela from the Felician sisters. Lillian acknowledged “there were doubters. A lot of doubters. But now many of these same people ask me to pray to Blessed Mary Angela on their behalf.”
