It is a sad day in the community as loyal customers said farewell to their favorite store. Sidey’s, a landmark in northern Chautauqua County, closed its doors forever today when its current lease expired. The family-owned and operated store had been in business for the past 111 years. Thousands of people, including former residents now living in faraway places, can relate to the loss felt by the store owners, the employees and the Dunkirk-Fredonia area in general.
