Thirty years ago — 1993 Fredonia Grange No. 1 recently celebrated its 125th anniversary. Clyde G. Berry, steward of the National Grange, spoke on the founding of the Grange by Oliver Hudson Kelly. Fredonia was the first grange in the country to be organized by Mr. Kelly, a member of President Lincoln’s cabinet. The present Grange building located at 58 West Main St., Fredonia was built in 1915.
