SABRES: Another year, another coach

One thing you can count on under the reign of Terry Pegula as owner of the Buffalo Sabres is a coaching carousel. Since 2011 when he purchased the team, there has been no continuity behind the bench.

Even the longest-tenured Sabre Coach Lindy Ruff was sent packing. Today, the team is looking for another leader after dismissing Phil Housley on Sunday.

Somebody had to pay the price for the collapse. It is never the players, who after a tremendous November, turned to pudding for the last four months. It wasn’t going to be the general manager, who endorsed those players.

Easy pick: it was the coach.

Tonight, the Sabres are back to what they do best in the Pegula era. Attempting to win the lottery for the National Hockey League draft top pick.

How exciting!
