SUNDAY SHOUTOUT: Forestville’s big heart
One of the most giving communities in our region never fails to disappoint when there is a fundraiser or benefit taking place. Before Christmas, the Fredonia Star Riders, a 4-H Club with their home base in Forestville and members from all around northern Chautauqua County, had its fourth annual community service project: collecting money for the Forestville Food Pantry.
Besides collecting cash for the pantry, the group also collected food, clothes and toys at the school to assist families and children needing support at the Forestville Central School.
At a Christmas party to celebrate the season, the 4-H’ers handed Lorraine Hodkin from the Forestville Food Pantry, the check for $502. It’s a major statement from a very special group.
