FUNDRAISER January swim warms hearts
A chilling experience continues to serve as a heart-warming community happening. As noted by the volunteers of the 19th annual Polar Bear Swim in Silver Creek, close to $12,000 was raised.
Benefitting from this icy splash includes: Oishei Children’s Hospital, Silver Creek Food Pantry, Sunset Bay Volunteer Fire Department and the Silver Creek Fire & Rescue Squads. That’s an impressive number of organizations.
Almost as significant are the returning “polar bears” who annually raise money for the cause and take that dip into the Lake Erie waters. Brrr!
