SENIORS Dunkirk group gets it done

The OBSERVER’s View

During the past school year, nothing came easy. Students and teachers dealt with a new and sudden reality of online learning with short notice once the coronavirus outbreak set in during March as both groups left buildings and did not return.

Four Dunkirk High students had one more obstacle in recent weeks. Take summer school courses remotely to graduate.

To their credit, they were more than up to the challenge.

Last week during a brief ceremony last week, Darciemar Colon, Zachery Leckliter, Ana Maria Oquendo Melendez and Glorimar Perez Cruz received their diplomas for a job well done. The four were recognized and celebrated for their achievements.

Each member of the 2020 graduating class had their challenges due to this nasty virus. As we prepare for an uncertain beginning to a new school year, we salute one more group of city seniors who crossed the finish line.
