It was a tight back and forth game but in the end the Steelers just couldn’t find the back of the net enough times. Maria Maytum scored the lone goal for the Steelers with Tate Olson getting the helper. Joey Yeager played a strong defensive game, while Anthony Fitz-Gerald played incredibly between the pipes.

The Steelers came out fast with Darwin Westlund finding the back of the net in the first 30 seconds. Less than a minute later Simon Davis added another. Olean came back and tied the game, but Tate Olson added a hat trick to seal the game for the Steelers. Joey Yeager was awarded the only assist. Aden Wilmore had a strong defensive effort, and Anthony Fitz-Gerald earned the win in net.

Zach Korzeniewski and Ethan Brunner tallied the Steeler goals while Gabe Schrader and Korzeniewski each recorded an assist in the loss. Schrader and Cooper Harris were stellar on defense stopping the Lions on multiple break-aways. Lauren Marshall was between the pipes in the defeat.

Mike Norton scored the lone goal for the Steelers. Alex Rush and Cooper Harris played solid defense while goalie Lauren Marshall fought off multiple shots in a tough loss.

Wednesday Travel League — The league visited Oakland Beach Golf Club in Conneaut Lake, PA. It was the 60th different course to be played in league history. The low score of 83 was shot by Joe Michalski and Dave Criscione, with Michalski the overall winner after a tiebreaker. Both men shot 40 for the low front nine score. Mike Wolfe shot the low back nine score of 41. The B Flight winner was Don Kujawa. The winner of the Bruce “Java” Chrabasz Commissioner’s Award was Al Bradley.
Untied birdies were recorded by: A Flight-Robert Calph (Nos.6&18), Wolfe (Nos.11&12), and John Waterman (No.16), B Flight-Lenny Leszkowicz (No.2), Mike Willoughby (Nos.5&8), Jack Hood (Nos.11,12,&17), and Butch Mackowiak (No.16). Closest to the pin were Calph (No.6), Waterman (No.9), and Criscione (No.16-2nd shot & No.17).
