Silver Creek girls win bowling match, but boys team loses
JAMESTOWN — Silver Creek High School’s girls bowling team beat Southwestern at Jamestown Bowling Company Tuesday, but the Trojans took the boys’ match.
The Silver Creek girls won, 3-1, with a score of 676-654-690-2,020. They improve to 6-10 on the season. The Lady Trojans (3-17) had a score of 619-673-595-1,887.
Gabby Rivera was the top female bowler with a 169-177-492 for the Black Knights. Her teammate, Andrea Olsen, bowled 166-171-473. Southwestern’s top performer was Alexis Berry with a 150-189-475.
The Trojans swept Silver Creek in the boys’ match, 4-0. Southwestern (7-13) scored 790-840-808-2,438 while the Black Knights’ score was 704-795-705-2,204, dropping the team to 2-14 on the season.
Top bowler of the match was Southwestern’s Hans Vanderzyden, who rolled a 184-225-168-577. Jordan Smith scored 180-189-193 for the Trojans, while Alex Nelson recorded 168-162-489.
Cory Patterson led Silver Creek with 163-214-189-566. The Black Knights’ Daniel Paterson charted a 159-182-489. Bryan Berek had a 155 for the team, while Jeffrey DeBergalis had a 151.
