FALCONER — The Fredonia Lady Hillbillies bounced back Tuesday from a home defeat by Dunkirk the previous afternoon, hammering Falconer, 17-3, in a CCAA West 2 high school softball contest.

Grace Mroczka pitched four innings to get the win for Fredonia (4-1, 3-1). She gave up four walks, two hits, and an earned run, and struck out one batter. Sydney Bigelow pitched the last two innings, giving up no runs, one hit and striking out two.

Maddy Marsh had a home run for the Lady Billies, going 2 for 3. Kelly Gullo went 3 for 4, Maggie Mignoli was 2 for 3 and Hannah Gullo went 1 for 1 with a double.

Courtnee Peterson took the loss for Falconer (0-4, 0-4) in four innings of pitching circle work.

Fredonia is scheduled to play another CCAA West 2 contest today at Chautauqua Lake.
